Pretty impressive work. And i can't wait to play the finished game. I like how the interactions going ! The writing is good too, and even if it's not complete it's already a ton of work for a jam !

Thank you!!! I'm glad you liked it!

Congrats on finishing that much during the jam, even if I understand it might be frustrating to submit just a demo!

The beginning of the story is exciting, and the notebook game mechanic that you're hinting at sounds very interesting, I'm always looking for new ways to make twine games!

Awesome use of music and sound!! And I really like the art you choose for the tarot card. Fun characters too, I love how you conveyed their interplay :)

If you keep working on this game, may I suggest spending some time on the text formatting too? With the great mood you create in writing and audio, I felt like the bold blue links dragged me out of the story a bit because they didn't really match the rest.

Good luck with the rest of it!!

Thank you!!! Oh yea, thanks to iVillain for the tarot cards! They are indeed awesome! :D
Yes! I do my best to integrate more formatting into the game. It is something that I wish to do even more!
Thank again for the feedback! :D

Good luck with the full version of the game! It's a story that I'm looking forward to continue.

That was such a cute demo! I could really tell how much you like detective stories, and I'm curious to see what will happen next once you continue the story. Even just by how you placed the links was already adding some element of interactivity that just wouldn't have been there if this had just been a wall of text :D

I also liked your use of sounds to make the story more immersive, without those sounds taking too much away from the experience. The music felt fitting, both because there is a character in the story who plays piano and also because it reminds me of the music in certain Sherlock Holmes adaptations.

I'm guessing maybe the characters will uncover more and more Tarot cards as they're trying to solve the case? That would be intriguing, I love stories like that! :)

And drawing parallels between "The Hero's Journey" and "The Fool's Journey" is such a classic story structure.

Like with most Twine games, the most important part of the experience was the writing - and it was good! I instantly got curious about the characters and how they were fanboying about Sherlock Holmes, that was cute. And I really liked the funny moments as well. That part in the beginning where they played games made me grin from ear to ear. A nice way to make the characters instantly relatable!

There were some typos here and there but it wasn't distracting or anything, and it's totally normal when there's this much text over only a 10 day period.

Lastly, I really like the artworks you chose for the Tarot cards! I wasn't yet familiar with Imaginary Villain's work, but that was such a good choice :D

Wooo! Thank you so much for this in-depth review!

Yes...! The idea is to insert more tarotcards as the story is told! :D

I'm happy that you liked it! :DD
