How does your game fit/incorporate the theme of the game jam?
After reading that title I decided I wanted to make a game that runs in the terminal to bring back one of the older forms of gaming and expose it to the new generations of gamers. A meta implementation of the theme if you will.
Moreover, in the game you will find these mysterious messages called Echos of the Past which will guide the adventurer deeper into the lower levels of the dungeon. These ghostly and mysterious messages are my visages of the past guiding the hero of our story.

The level editor crashed after saving and going back and after trying to load a non existent save file I can't return to the main menu.
Rogue mode doesn't work.
The size of the windows changes the aspect ratio of the map, causing it to be unplayable.
Despite everything I can see you put a lot of work in this project and I can see the vision, it's probably pretty fun, good job regardless!
Yeah the level editor was just so I can get the levels done faster- Is very broken and finiki but mostly a tool for me to develop faster at the time. Eventually I do want to polish it but is on the back of the todo list.
The rouge mode should work fine, it creates the map to the current window ratio. I might have to limit it a bit more in the future or add screen size limitations to make it more reliable. Thanks for playing <3
I find the idea interesting; however, I don't understand anything.
Love the ASCII style! It reminds me of Dwarf Fortress.
I still can not find how to use strategy in the game.
Maybe I missed something, it seems I could only run to the enemy and find heart before died.
There is a lack of functionality atm and realistically a bug or two that hinder playability.
However, in the current game state there is a strategy to move around enemies to get heals without them getting to hit you. The strategy is simply to face enemies when high on hp and avoid them when low. But I wanted to add items, stronger enemies, skills, maybe some gacha... Likely will add some of those in the near future
that would be cool!
The fact that this is playable in the console is very cool. I need a bit to get what is going on with everything, but it was fun.

I am aware the main character is hard to spot some times and the story.... is non existent xD But I plan to add it as well as more game mechanics soon!
