The main differences right now are just branding and the community around Redot.

you can copy most things from Godot into Redot and they work just fine.

Even if they don't work, they should only need minor changes to make it work.

Asking if "Godot and Redot are identical"  is like asking if  Magikarp and Gyarados are identical . . . 

One is the natural evolution of the other.

Redot and Godot have different Goals. Godot being focused on pleasing their donaters. Redot has main focus on community and Games. As per my speculations and understanding of the sitautions.
