  • This is an excellent game! I personally am a big fan of rhythm games, and having the two characters actually added to my fun trying to play both (I focused on one, and tried to get their communal notes all right). I found my fingers bouncing off my keyboard as if I was playing the piano. I can see how the two players works with the theme, and the way they sometimes play off each other, taking turns hitting the beat of the music, it really ties into the theme in a fun and novel way. The game is pretty stable - I didn't run into any bugs or game-breaking issues. I found the actual rhythm hard to hit at first until I stopped trying to use the visual and just tried to follow the music. It's wild how much more successful that was for me, and is just a testament to how you managed to get the notes to react at the right times. The art is nice and simple, but still conveys movement and dancing with the little poses. I enjoyed it most when I saw the two characters trade off dancing, it looked like a show. The colours were used well and the background was soothing to my eyes. Overall, very good visuals that add nicely to the experience and vibe of the game. I really like this game and would love to see it developed more. I would especially love the two-character, single-player aspect to be an integral part of single-player play, since it brings something slightly novel to the genre. Otherwise, having single player with one character would also be a good option (but in my opinion, it takes away from the kind of cool aspect of seeing both of them dance). Please add credits to the itch page for the people who made the different aspects if more than one person worked on this. I think this would be beneficial for them all to have on their accounts.

This was very fun to play. I was skilled enough to use both characters until the hard mode humbled me haha. You have the colorful art, the music, and the gameplay all coming together to make this a great experience. I do hope that you continue to work on this and see where it goes.

If I had to give any feedback, I'd probably just say have an option for 1 or 2 players. This is just under the assumption that the player wasn't meant to control both at the same time. Felt bad when I perfectly completed a stage with one character and saw my score plummet from not using the other.

Thank you, I really appreciate the encouragement and feedback! I didn’t realize that my wording on the 1-player/2-player thing probably wasn’t too clear and I’m sorry my game punished you for interpreting it that way haha. I’d definitely like to add a true 1-player mode in the future (or at least make the base gameplay more solo-player friendly), so I appreciate the suggestion. Thanks for playing! :)

The art style is very fun, the music is enjoyable, and the gameplay is so nice. Some advice though would be to make the area you have where you should hit the note more direct! But overall the game is adorable and a bop to listen to! Would love to see what the future holds for this game!

Thank you so much! :)) I’ve heard that feedback from a couple playtesters so I’m definitely hoping to make the note timing more clear in future revisions.

Nice art an nice idea!

I would advice to add more effect when a key it touched: I took me some time to understand that they key I didn't hit the right key as I'm in azerty!

Congrats to have created a game in one week!

Thank you so much! I definitely want to keep improving the note feedback. I also hadn’t considered different keyboard layouts, so thanks for mentioning that—once I come back to this I’ll add AZERTY mappings too!
