Can we use sounds like "hey", "Ha!"? Like, those are the words as well. Just want to clarify

Those are universal enough—I’d allow it. But in the end your peers will be the final judge of whether it fits within the limitations and spirit of the jam

Also, are emojis ok to use (in mild amount, of course)? 

Emojis are ok as long as you're not using them to spell words
