Curiosity is weird
We've never had anyone actually do that and I am anxiously waiting for someone to figure it out! I might have to figure out a prize for the first person to get their game on a real Nokia 3310. It might be a little late at this point as some people would most likely have to actually find one first. If I figure something out keep an eye on the discord announcements/forums here on itch!
It is pretty common where i live but now it has been replaced by other versions of Nokia, Even my father has a keypad one so i would at least try to export it.
one way would be to make the game on Arduino and then export it through the port or take out the LCD screen and micro controller and then try it.
would be pretty cool i guess
i looked it up it turn out that you can buy only the screen for cheap but there are no Nokia 3310 screens I found, will that count?
The 3330 might be more feasible; it has the same external appearance, rez, and so on as the 3310, but according to Wikipedia that model supported J2ME. Even limited to MIDP 1.0, Java ME is quite capable and accessible.
Actually transferring software to the phone is its own hairy challenge. I don't know if there's any sort of data transfer cable you can get for these phones, and afaik downloading games over WAP would mean you had to set up a little local cellular network...
