Hello, my question is what would be the size of the pixel art of a sprite if we want the sprite to fit within 84x48 screen size.

What do  you mean? It should be 84x48 or less, of course :D It also could be bigger, but at once you can only see a 84x48 crop of it.

I'm using 6x6 for characters and most objects.
