The corrupted messages effect was so niceeee, very cool game, good job

Interesting game, I would like to see an evolution of it

Thanks! We'll keep working on it after the jam too, we'd love to expand on the theme and on the idea :)

Great concept - and reading all the messages was fun :D
The corrupted messages effect, and all the menus - the whole phone murder mystery idea was great and nicely done :)

Developer

Thank you so much! We're glad that you enjoyed it :)

I hit a bug that prevented me from playing, and then I found another. I have to dock some points for that.

I really like the idea (I mean, I made a detective game for this jam too ;-) ) and I thinks it's original too. Simulating the phone's UI is brilliant. The game feels complete, even without music: given the limitations of N3310, I think it would get grating quickly and I would turn it off anyway. The ring tone was spot on :-)

Probably my biggest complain is the font: it's just too small. I completely understand wanting to get high information density in your detective game, but it's your main user interface and it's just hard to use. If you are gonna work on the game in future, please, add at least one row of pixels.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and for all of the compliments! I see, it's true that the font is very small and sometimes hard to read, we plan on polishing the game some more after the jam, so we'll try to tackle this issue as well :)

Such a unique idea. I can see the vision.
And you made a whole Nokia menu system for it. Love that.
The text was a bit unclear because of the resolution but that's ok

On a side note: using escape to space in itch web games is not ideal. sometimes it does not work, and it also quits full screen by default.
I suggest having another key binding for that to ensure an optimal gameplay for the players

Developer

Thanks! I noticed the problem with the escape key just now, will upload a quick fix soon :)

Unfortunately, I don’t have a numpad, so it was difficult for me to play. I also had trouble with Enter not working, but pressing 5 allowed me to continue :-). I think the idea of the game is great, and the graphics are awesome. Now I'll go look for my USB numpad. Thanks for the game!

Developer

Hi! Thanks for playing :)

I'm glad you like the idea and the graphics, as for the controls, we probably should have specified that enter and confirm do different things in-game 😅

Developer

thx for the feedback on the graphic, was my first time working on such low resolution
