Loved it! I got 12 points :D I didn't mention that they worshipped the sun and it was the solstice, and I also misinterpreted the black marks to be tire screeches or something, hinting at a fourth person who maybe managed to leave in time and might still be in danger (the phone convo was also a hint, though I didn't pay attention at the names). Turns out it was shoe polish ahhah (I hope I would have not made the mistake that shoe polish is tire marks in real life).

First I was coy and thought I could solve it without even talking to them, but I actually backtracked after taking a look at the submit page with the dropdowns.

It's too bad this kind of story is hard to make replayable, because it was quite enjoyable and I could play some more :D Well done Victor!

Taking interacting with stories to a new level. Super cool idea!

A very interesting take on a text based crime solver, I could see this having the possibility to be expanded upon with both sound and maybe some visuals. It was an intriguing story, though a weakness of the current point system was that the players reading-speed heavily factors into if how fast you can solve it. I misunderstood a crucial piece at first, but had time to go back and re-read and still make it. 13 points does not feel bad, but for some reason the setting made my mind go to the even more bizar (and this I guess I saw some things in the clues that weren't there :P)

Very cool little game! :) The timer + time of day element really tied the narrative together and gave it a lot of atmosphere that I usually would expect from something like this. Good writing as well!

(I think I scored a 6, which I suppose makes be a pretty bad detective :p)
