I said it before on discord and twitch but this is an awesome fake game!

The retro FMV look, the weird audio and character designs and the little clip of the player selecting the offering are perfectly weird.

If this were a real game I would either love to play it, or watch an hour long review of it because it looks so damn intriguing.

Great work!

Thank you again Enygmatic!

The fact that you made this in the time of the jam is mind-blowing to me. Incredible visual work. It looks to be some sort of like early 90's CYOA game with the live action parts replaced by very interesting surreal elements? Really cool.

Developer(+1)

Thank you it was all quite experimental and rushed so I'm very happy that people are loving it so much. Very kind comment, thank you again 😊

oooo from the title to your colors to the mini-cutscene this game is super cohesive!!!

I've played games similar to this and it brought back my nostalgia. I really like the sounds the two characters made while talking too. Great work!

Developer

Thanks a lot, glad you found it nostalgic that was definitely one of my main intentions when creating it.

THIS IS SO COOL!! I love the animation so much, it's so trippy and strange in the absolute best way possible! I'd love to play a whole game like this

Developer

Thank you so much!

INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE BEAUTIFUL GIVE ME THE GAME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really really stunning work here, you should be SO proud--- one of my favorite details is how little transition there is between selecting an item and the reaction. Makes it feel a lot like game scenes being swapped in and out.

Developer

Haha thank you, that's very kind. Yeah the transitions were done quite quickly, but unexpectedly turned out to be just right. I really appreciate your comment ☺️

love the film-like post-processing effects and mixed media in this cutscene -- it's soo visually striking! amazing work!

Developer

Thank you very much 🙂

UGH IM JUST BLOWN AWAY, WOW!!!! ;w; Really enjoying the two characters and their dynamics, as well as the post-processing effects. The hardcoded yellow subtitles are such a perfect choice.

Developer

Thank you! It was really fun to take part in. I really enjoyed knocking this up over a few hours.
