An original idea born 6 decades or so too late :) Seriously though it is really engaging for a gridiron noob like me who only knows the sport through playing Madden on the Megadrive... Love the music and sfx choices. That really helps set the stage in your imagination. Villains and Heroes are also excellent team names!
This was really cute for what it was. I can't look at white text on a black background for long without eye strain, but I enjoyed the way the text worked with the sound of what I played. At first, I thought it was just rock-paper-scissors, but there's more to it than that. Very cool.

What color text and background works best for you? I'll add an option to change the color scheme in post jam build.
I'm glad you mention 'rock-paper-scissors', that's definitely the feeling I was going for but as you say with a little more depth.
I can handle most color schemes, including a dark gray background, but actual black with light letters gives me a headache and makes me see weird lines across my vision.
