Really nice looking and runs well. Controls are odd but when you get used to them you can control it okay. The game is simplistic but the hide and seek mechanic is a clever way to use the lighting as a gameplay mechanic, and given the time frame it's impressive to get this sort of rendering working from scratch, good job!

The lighting & normal mapping on the floor/columns is really nice, and the robot models are cute. Gameplay is on the simple side and the controls seem to be inverted, but it ran very smoothly and I had a decent time seeking the enemy robots. Nice job on the submission!

I like the look and aside from a few of the controls feeling inverted from where they should be, the game seems to run real smooth.

Nice. I enjoy seeking/adventure type games. Wonky controls aside, I had fun with this.

Nice game. Seems you used PGE (but I cannot be 100% sure.)

It is well implemented, fluid and quite fun.

I think the rotation keys are swapped (A and D should rotate in the opposite direction.)

Thanks a lot! I've spent most of the time working on the rendering and had to rush with the game play at the very end. I couldn't get the mouse and keyboard experience quite right, but I'm very happy you guys found it playable! Lol

Developer

Btw, the engine is not PGE, it is a customer engine that uses DirectX 11. The source code for the both the game and the engine can be found here: https://github.com/SergioMasson/olc-codejam-2020-voxelmachina

Hey, I liked the sprites and models of your game. Also, i liked your design. But for me, the key controls were weird (A to go right and D to go left) and the mouse panning behaved somewhat random. But its a nice entry!

Developer

Sorry for that, I'm looking forward to improve the controllers on next interactions of this projects. Also, my wife was responsible for the art assets, she will be very happy with your feedback! :D
