thanks for participating!, don't forget to rate the other games, and nominate your OGA favourite.:)

Yeah! I had a great time.  I've been rating other games, but haven't sent in a favorite.  I still have time, right?

Host

yes I'm hoping to announce the winner of that when the rating period is over, so think the rating finishes tomorrow, so you have until then.:)

Perfect.  Thanks!

Is the 'exe' version different than the flash version?   I don't have flash, so I tried the exe version and didn't notice any kind of level system.

Anyway, not bad at all for a first effort!   Definitely needs some more spice of some kind to kick it up a notch, but it's certainly a solid start.

Developer

Thanks for your thoughts and encouragement.  Yeah, at this point the exe is the same as the swf.  I may branch out at some point in the future, but right now the redundancy is to help folks like you.  BUT There should be separate levels...unless I got my versioning wrong.  Are there separate levels with different titles?

I didn't notice any and I played for a fair bit.   I'll try again and let you know.  Maybe I missed something.

Developer

Well, if they aren't there, I'll re-build and let you know when I updated.

good effort on your first game!, things really begin to get tough after level 5. :)

Developer

Thanks!  Yeah, I wonder if I should crank up the difficulty and variation sooner, based on earlier comments.  Some of the beta testers (ahem...my friends and family) had trouble getting through some of the early levels.  Yeah, after 5 things crank up a lot.  Thanks for trying it!

It's alright. but I gotta say, as it is, it's rather stale as a game. I mean no offense, I just didn't play very long before I was bored. I remember games similar to this when I was child on DOS. It could definitely be better with a little more sprucing up. Different targets, slower and faster horizontal speeds, maybe some enemy planes to shoot down, music. something. anyway. not bad if this is your first go at a something like this, keep making games, maybe work on this one some more to improve it!

Yup.  My absolute first game and definitely JUST a prototype.  I made it for a GameJam, which was mostly an incentive to do it.  There's a lot that I would like to do with it and I agree that altering speeds and having more target types would be good.  But it was a lot to knock out with a day job in a month.  Thanks for the ideas...maybe I'll try a few out when I have the time.

That's really strange.  I created it using  Clickteam Fusion 2.5.  No custom code additions on my part.  I uploaded both an swf and an exe.  I wonder if whatever behavior is triggering this response is present in both.  If you could provide any additional information, I'll try to figure out what is going on.  Thanks!
