A very fun but the art could be improved

Very fun game loop and style. I did beat the boss and while it was short, it did showcase quite a bit of potential. With the addition of some platforms pits and other obstacles you could greatly elevate this game. Great work!

I thought this was a really fun little game! I love the esthetic of 2D sprites in a 3D environment and this game pulled that off reasonably well! The game had a really nice assortment of enemies with various attacks and I liked the idea of collecting a new attack every room that would add to my own rotating attack options.

I think the game could have used a score display, or, perhaps, some form of progression indicator (“three rooms until the boss” or something like that, maybe). Additionally, I thought that it would have been nice if the room itself varied. As it is, there really is only one room. If there were room obstacles that would have added an extra challenge to the room as I’m fighting the monsters. Over all, however, for a jam game, these issues were pretty minor and didn’t take away from my over all enjoyment of the game!

if you’re interested, I played your game during one of my twitch streams. Here’s the link if you’re interested :)

Hello!

I liked the billboard art style! The weapon switching mechanic was hard to understand, and it was a bit hard to see. Reducing the movement smoothing might make the controls feel more responsive. The giant boss was fun to fight. I wasn't sure what the weapon icon at the top of the doors meant, but assumed they told what weapon I would get by traveling through that door.

The music got a bit annoying. Maybe a longer loopable track that continuously goes on in between the levels? In the win/lose screen, it seemed as if the game was still running in the background. But other than that, nice arcade feeling!

Hi!  Can you add a list of credits to the itch.io page for this game?

The rules of the Jam ask submissions to have BOTH an in-game credits scene and a list of credit on its itch.io page.
