Nice job! I like the mallet sounds you used.

Thank You!

Very interesting mix of different timbres with the instruments used: I can imagine the conversations going on between the different seasons where each instrument is a unique voice and all the overlapping discussion that is happening. Cool concept!

Developer

Thank You!
Hey, that's pretty cool idea - having anthropomorphic seasons in the game, and during dialogues, there will be no voices (dabbing), just sounds of instruments! Now I wanna make this game even more :D.

very creative! reminds of pachelbel's canon

Developer

Thank you!
Yeah, I used Pachelbel's bass line (that classical chord progression) ^_^.

The deep bass sounds contrast really well with the xylophone. It  gives the track a really vibrant and diverse sound. Nice work.

Developer

Thank you.
I'm glad that xylophone with bass combination worked ^_^.

The use of metallic sounds is super cool! It adds a unique texture to the track that I haven't heard so far in the jam

Developer

Thank You!
I tried to associate sound with seasons - woody instruments (xylophone) with autumn, metallic with winter, soft nylon quitar for spring a flute for summer... and combinations kinda came out with interesting sound ^_^.

Definetly something you dont hear everyday. Good job!

Developer

Thank You. It was little experimental even for me (never tried canon form before, still must learning ~_^).

It just got so cold in here :) I dig it! very cool.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Glad you find it cool. (Is it cool be cool without summer? bad pun intented :D )

Haha ! That's a bold take on Pachelbel's Canon ! Somehow your rendition of it makes it quite an unsettling theme, like stepping inside a Goron's house. It could easily fit in Zelda game, as an introduction for a sinister character.

Developer

Thank you! Actually, using Pachelbel's Canon bass link was kinda last minute idea, I always wanna try to use his chord progression, and canon structure, so I scratched my old idea for accomp and hurray for Pachelbel ^_^. Frankly, "unsettling" wasn't my original aim (more like melancholy), but you are right - it sounds kinda unsettling, but it probably fits to the world without Summer :D.
