Hi!

I'm Andrew! I am looking to join a team for the upcoming jam. I am a music person first, and everything else second 😃 im doing music, and sound design professionaly, and i have actual teamwork experience.

I want to make some spooks,

Here my music and sound design in actual working games/prototypes: 👇👇👇👇👇

And this track which is pretty Borderlands-ee:

Anyway, if you want to work with me on this game jam, please.. my Discord is AndreiOlinic#7822

(I tried joining the server, but there is no team making channel)

it says that the invitation expired, could ypu do something about that? 🤔

Thanks!

Hi!

My name is Andrew, im a game audio producer, meaning i am in charge of anything that is going to be "game's audio" that includes music, sound design, dialogue editing (and recording sometimes), audio implementation with 3rd party softwares, etc 😃 i actually been looking at this jam for a while now, because i never a did a jam over an extended period like this, and i really think i can knock it out real good with the right team and direction.

If you want to talk, my discord tag is AndreiOlinic#7822

Lets make cool games

Hi! Im Andrew, im an experienced sound designer and music composer whos worked with games before and still does it 😱 Anyway here is my stuff https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCWxgWPL6sI3rGAfFOhrCP7Q/videos  and i have some industry experience, i can teach the programmers who want to level up their game dev workflow, game audio interractivity. Its a skill you must know when working with audio people. Hit me up on discord Andrei Olinic#7822

Hi! Im Ollie as well 😆 so... want to team-up? I do everything audio related PLUS i can show you implementantion (if you dont know middleware already)

Hey yo! If you got someone already, then cool. If not, anything audio related i CAN do, and we can work together to make interractivity with the sounds and music. Im looking to make some games

Im Andrew, and i'd like to participate in some of these jams. If its audio i can do it all (implementing included if i have a decent programmer working with me) i can even do some art, but it depends how well we manage the time 😁

its just a brief sentance that a game can be built upon. I usually dont need much more than that to compose something, otherwise might fall in the trap of losing the bigger picture. I had an image of how this game is going to look, and i just imagined the music i wanted to hear while playing it. And it was along the lines of God of war/elder scrolls/the last samurai/gladiator (and few others) so a STORY driven game... like the music is :) its a good idea when you're composing to over simplify the concept, then all the unecessary details will fall off 😁 and like you said, its simple, but can be effective... that was the whole idea

Let me know what you think 😁

i really feel a very slight John Carpenter vibe. Which i always like to hear. It might not been your inspiration, but reminded me of that style, mainly because the synth bass, and the rythms (kind of a littlebit of everything) Good job!

Thank you so much! I will add some more description now. I made a whole topic but i didnt knew exactly if to write it or not. I will now, thanks! :)

Hey, thank you so much! Well, for the guitar sound you can find detailed information below, i already answered that in detail 😁 The choir its another story. Well the choir is from Performance Samples Oceania, and from Metropolis Ark 1, and for the shouts i recorded my friends shouting and i layered them with the samples to really make it like an army marching to battle. For the melodic parts there are always at least two melodies going in the same time. And i used some orchestration tehniques to enhance the dramatic side of things. (For example cannon counterpoint). The choir usually carries the tune, but there were some parts where the brass would enhance the sound, as well as the strings in other parts like the Winter season (for example). Then there was mixing, but its just too much to explain there :)) Hope this at least helped you a bit 😁

🤣🤣 nicely pointed out! I left the DAW intentionally like that, so people would see that something is going on. But no, not Sceptic Flesh was the inspiration 😁 it was more like... "i want to add guitar, oh! Right... here would fit nicely" 😂

Haha! Thank you! Im glad you saw it that way 😆 indeed its a tough year. The idea was like prepare for battle 🤘😠

Definetly something you dont hear everyday. Good job!

おもしろいサウンドトラックですよ!  曲はとても美しい音がしますよ。よくできました。

Love the vibe! So dark and cold, great stuff and diverse. Good job!

As i listened to these tracks i couldn't help but realise that they are in complete contrast to mine 🤣 i like the super positive vibe it emmits through the melodies, arrangement, etc. Great stuff! 👏👏 This music could definetly be in some Cartoon Network just show as it is

Thank you so much! Im super happy you like the guitar's sound. There is a reply to a comment below where i explained in detail how to achieve it. (Of course that is if you happen to have exactly the same gear as me, but in case you dont there are ways around it. Plenty of them even, and i'll be happy to talk them with you 😁) Yet again most of the tone you hear comes from the bass, which is crazy loud, crazy distorted and super hidious :)) but in combination witht the guitar tone, gives that huge fat ass you're refering to 😆

Thank you! Im glad you enoyed it! Well, yes becasue i aimed for this level of polish since the beginning, and i stuck to the "self-made" schedule very stricly. Out of 10 days, i could only work on this piece for 6 and only part time. So it turns out it was just enough :) 1 season/day and one day mixing, and the last one mastering.

Im glad you liked it! Actually the whole track its kind of a build-up to Autumn, and the Winter being the "chilling" release of it all

A very dynamic track, i like it 😁

I like the use of drones, definetly a unique taste. Awesome!

Sound like something that could definetly make it into a game :) Good job!

Great job! Definetly a unique approach

VERY interesting voicings and rythms
