I know we're not supposed to use music we've already written obviously but if I were to use a story and characters and a setting that I've already come up with, would that be against the spirit of an event like this?
I am wondering about this because the character exists that I already made for something but the -subject- of this part of his life didn't exist before the jam like his earlier growing up etc that the music chronicles. But the -source- is already mine and almost nothing but his name existed before.
