Description
I don't know how to describe the genres of this soundtrack because I don't really know how most genres work; I used a lot of bells and synths, and strings have prominence all throughout. I envision this game as a 2d platformer, the setting being a world beneath a wishing well in the protagonist's home town that's created by people's wishes. Each of the levels and characters in this world are created by wishes that people have thrown in, though I didn't get to include much.

The first track, "My Hometown," is for the town where the well is. I wanted this one to be simple and not use any synthesizers.

The second track, "Into the Well," is a short jingle that plays each time the player enters a level by jumping into the well; starting with only piano and fading in synthesized sounds before the protagonist hits the threshold between the worlds with a "splash," and then the level itself fades in.

Third, "Adventure Land," is the only level theme I was able to include, a world created by some character's desire for a life of adventure. This would probably be an earlier level in the game, and not one that's particularly plot-relevant.

Finally, "False Ideals" is either the Final Boss theme or the penultimate boss theme depending on how the plot is centered. It's a frantic battle against a being formed from the protagonist's own wish.

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
Each level in the game is a little world made by a person's wishes, more or less depicting the life they want for themselves. In that way, it is their worlds, though nobody ever sees this world except the protagonist (and maybe one other character).

Is it magical? Yes! Do I feel Italian melodies in Adventure Land? Yes! I like it...? YES!!1!

Sounds great, composition is nice I just feel like that False Ideals is big contrast and feels like it doesn't fit, I think it fits a general composition but the whole album its very different. A part from that great job !

Rating Submissions with few Ratings to Hopefully Get Some in Return

The change in sonic palette between the first and third track paints a picture. Within the context the instrumentation seems even more whimsy, showcasing a protagonist going from the world of the banal to fantastical stories and swashbuckling. Cool job!

Adventure land was my favorite because of the great mallets!

Lovely score! Lot of great ideas throughout here, and wow I LOVE 'False Ideas'. It's so quirky yet works so well as a battle theme! I've never heard a track like it, but super cool. Beautiful mallet writing in 'Adventure Land'

This has a great, fresh sound. It is delightful to listen to and I can hear it belonging to a game. The second track is so creative and really pulls you down into the well! I admire the orchestration across these tracks too; lots of good textures that go well together and effective percussion. There's so much LIFE to these tracks! Thanks for making and sharing.

Some interesting and not common ideas in the second and fourth tracks! Well done!

Thanks! The falling quintuplet pattern in the 2nd track was something I had conceptualized as a major theme of the game, but I didn't get the chance to incorporate it more heavily

That would have been interesting as a rhythmic leitmotiv indeed!

Solid entry with a lot of nostalgia behind it! False Ideals feels like the strong track for me and could definitely see it on my 3ds on a pokemon game or rpg. Great execution!

This reminds me a lot of the grand adventures I had on my DS as a kid, really fun melodies and you do an excellent job and adding a lot of movement in your piece, passing melodies around and introducing new ideas to keep the tracks exciting. Good job!

Oh this is absolutely delightful, completely transformative listening experience

Hey ReMx, great job! Def loved Adventure Land, mostly cause I think I heard a tuba in there somewhere lol. Keep it up!

Thought I knew what I had gotten into with the first three tracks, then False Ideals hit my like a bag of bricks lol. This was awesome work! Great job!

Thanks! Yours is really cool as well, I'm going through it right now! It also sounds like it has a weirdly similar premise for the antagonist, though I didn't really get into the evil doppelgänger stuff in the description of my game. Funny how that happens lol

Thanks a lot friend! The similarities some of us have in concepts have kinda been blowing my mind lately lol. However, a friend of mine had his whole concept be "the world at large is dreary and bleak, but your inner world is beautiful and creative and blissful," while mine was "Your inner world is torment and loneliness and you are your own worst enemy," so I think it balances out lmao
