Description
Submission for "ost composing jam: Crunchtime 03"
This is my first attempt at making game music, I honestly joined this jam on a whim with only 7~ hours remaining and no experience.
I used the webapp Beepbox for the audio creation.
The game
As I imagine it, this track would be included in a open world JRPG. In this game you would fight against an evil cult who wishes to revive long dead mythical beasts and kaiju-like creatures.
Along with a white dragon companion the player would travel an open world and destroy cult encampments and save villages from their tyranny, along with huge multi-levelled boss battles against revived creatures.
The track
The track I created is themed around exploring the resting place of the strongest mythical beast in the game, the Hydra. Not yet knowing if has already been revived, a slow and treacherous decent into madness.
I really wanted to make a suspenseful background track, with the intention to loop to act as ambience before the player encounters and subsequently battles the Hydra.
I would have loved to have more time to continue creating for this idea, especially creating the transition from the ambience into the ultimate battle sequence. but given my late arrival to the jam I was very limited. I may return to this in the future.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?

The vibe is on point, a bit too repetitive.
Ooh, first attempt at making game music! Congrats! I think a way you could easily improve this piece is by adding at least 1 extra section that changes up the feel since it can be a bit repetitive at time but for a first attempt it is quite good!
Very spooky!
This is a good first attempt! Definitely getting the creepy cultish vibes from it. Keep it up!
I love this vibe, the instruments work really well together. It would be awesome if you were to continue this idea and polish it up more!
