Description
Genre: woodwind/brass orchestra, with or without Synthesizer percussions
- all tracks were produced using the plug-in FLEX; "Battle or sth (WIP)" uses a heavily modified version of the default FL Studio 808 Clap
Game: super chill exploration indie JRPG; Singleplayer/Co-op
- alone, you can roam alone or atop of Whitelight's (the dragon's) back
- in co-op multiplayer, two players can explore separately or combine powers and share controls by letting Silver (the human) ride Whitelight
"The Great Above": theme you'll be hearing the most by far (and the only one due to time constraints lmao), plays while exploring the cloudy overworld realm several km above sea level; the woodwind variant plays while exploring alone, and the brass version fades in when riding Whitelight
"Battle or sth (WIP)": plays while fighting the enemies 110% essential to the JRPG genre; time restrictions left the track unfinished, but I would've added a kettledrum drop and an actual main section combining woodwinds & brass to the song before looping it back to the brass drop
Message from the artist
I was completely worn out from my final exams, combine this with the time constraints, and you don't get much of substance lol. Please be kind and respectful, may it suck or not. Any feedback is appreciated, though! :)
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
Orchestral, grand aesthetic: reminiscent of typical Fantasy/JRPG tropes
minimalistic instrumentation & melodic, slow tempo: reminiscent of cloudy, celestial vibe of the title and artwork

Really cool to go for an adaptive music entry. I love how you have different versions for what is happening in game!
Thanks, glad you loved the concept!
So the soundtrack would be a bit adaptive and the orchestration would change depending on whether you're riding the dragon or not, is that right? Fun idea, I haven't seen anyone exploring something like that so far in this jam!
Exactly, my take on the theme is supposed to be an immersive game after all. I was kind of surprised that not that many people tried working with adaptive audio or layers, since it takes arguably less effort for more content. That being said, hope you enjoyed it!
There is literally no difference in any of the tracks with or without the name, I just noticed that my name was missing at the very last second so I had no time to remove the previous ones.
