Message from the artist
This is my second composer jam and I am thrilled for this opportunity.

For this jams theme I was inspired by some older pictures I've took at a sunset near the salt lake in Larnaca (Zyprese). I kind of was inspired by some old school RPG.

Difficulty

B (Hard)

Make a piece that has the same musical notes both forwards and backwards but doesn’t have to be an identical recording.

I adore the bassline, was it recorded live? If yes, please teach me how to get that tone haha. Love the Percussion as well, really captured the old school RPG vibe.

Developer(+1)

Sorry, but I didn't get the time to play the bass in by myself, although I really wanted to. But FYI it is a sampled DI Musicman Stingray. For processing I've used a LA2A simulation and a Pultec simulation to give it some depth and gritt. For general mixing you should tend more to the second order harmonics of your bass, like 200 - 300 Hz, since these frequenzies are more importand than the actual fundamental note. Reason is, that the fundamentals are to low and will be lost by most listening devices.

Great track, love the bassline. The reversed track was so good as well. Great overal track!

I liked this a lot! I liked how the bass in the reversed version sounded in the middle, very funky!

Super atmospheric and calming, Yasunori Mitsuda would be proud. It's great to see another Cubase user lol.

Developer(+1)

To my shame I needed to look Mr Mitsuda up. Definitely someone to get more inspiration from. So thanks on that regard.

It's quite odd that there are so less cubase user in here. Happy to see some likeminded soul.

I'm glad you liked his music!

wow the reversal is such a haunting piece! A complete 180 flip from the original. I really enjoyed this piece

Developer

Actually the reverse was just to prove that the song is notewise identical to the forward version. Glad you liked it anyhow.

Very cool outcome ! I'm surprised how well the progression works forwards and backwards :0 amazing sound <3

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! I'm quite surprised by the outcome myself, since the process was more like throwing things on the wall and look what sticks. :D
