This is a walking simulator. I hate walking simulators. But, this one, like stanley parable, gave a fun twist to this genere and made a wonderful game with it.

I liked how simple it is, yet so efective at making me say: huh, cool. There isnt much else to it, its really good.

I would've loved to have some puzzles in this, perhaps something to do with perspective and stuff. But overall, Amazing job!

8/10 would get my gf to play.

Thank you for your feedback. I wanted to add portal like puzzles where you had to find a cube and use it as a stair of you had to place it on a button. Unfortunately, I did not have time to add vertical camera movement and these puzzles. I'm very glad you liked it : )

Since theres no depth of view to this, or no real sence of it. Perhaps have the door be broken in pieces of different sizes and have the playr try and position themselves to create the door. That would be really cool to see.

I love how simple it is, and makes you want to figure out every corner! Makes me curious, and the music is also very relaxing. Even when we feel lost, we always find a way there. Amazing.

thank you for the comment :) I'm very glad you enjoyed it

Like Snail Rhymer,  I was unable to play your game because it requires a better graphics card than I have :(    It looks like it is probably awesome.

Developer

hmm I was trying to make it as low on graphics as possible. If you tell me what platform you are using I will turn down the resolution and remove all light sources to make it playable on any low tier pc.

The screenshots look like you achieve a lot with very little. With such a minimalist style, are you using anything from the GLES3 renderer? If you did GLES2 you could do a web build (and support ancient hardware like mine :) ).

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Well actually I just have cube meshes with unshaded textures. It's a very very simple concept but is really cool. (It's also really difficult to make levels when everything blends with each other with no sense of depth.

Edit: I used GLES3 but there is no shaders so I will make a html5 version. I just wanted people to play fullscreen for the best experience

Thanks for trying to support my rubbish laptop, but the html version doesn't work for me either - the game runs but the screen is all magenta with "find the red gate" at the top. The music plays and I get sound on clicking/moving. I've just tried a web build of a 3D godot project of my own and none of the meshes in that are displayed, leaving just the skybox, so it looks like the problem is my end.

The low-spec desktop windows build you released seems to be identical to the higher-spec one - the "last modified" dates/times are identical (and well before itch says you uploaded the low-spec version). Is it possible you accidentally uploaded the same one twice? Sorry to pester you with this, and if it's too much hassle for you to sort anything more out, I get that - this is just a free jam game after all. But between the art style and "If I said anything about it it would spoil the experience", you have me intrigued.

A good experience!

Loved the music! I felt relaxed for a moment.

Really nice game!

Developer

thank you ! I spent a good amount of time on the audio for the game.

I like strange and surreal games. It was very good. the sensitivity is a bit too much tho. it seems dependant on what resolution the game is at.

Really cool use of flat colors and perspective. Love the atmosphere you set up!

Submitted(+1)

It was a fun game, I like the use of because of everything is one color, you can just hide passages and such. Does left click/space have any functionality? in game there is just a noise being played.

Developer

Well I added the sound just as an easter egg. It doesn't have functionality in game.  Well there is a raycast triggering but it doesn't do anything.

Its a beautifully abstract game, but I found it annoyingly difficult to navigate. Overall 4/5

Developer(+1)

Well to add a minute or two to the gameplay I had to sacrifice some of the fun. I'm glad you enjoyed the way it looks. I will post an updated version later on with better controls and easier level(also more levels).
