This game is super pleasant! Simple and easy game with some really smooth models and animations. Thank you for making this game!

Developer

Thank you, that's great to hear! Appreciate your comments and you organizing this game jam.

One thing to mention that I don't see anyone else talking about - is there a way to restart other than reloading the game? Didn't see one on the instructions and a few keys I tried didn't do anything. Would be good to at least have something like Escape restart the run on the end screen.

Really nice job tackling the 3d aspect though! Tough ask over a single weekend.

Developer

Nope, at this point it's still a reload to restart. Definitely something I'll try to incorporate in any future versions. Thanks for playing and for your comments!

notes:

1. what are the water bottles for? is it purely cosmetic?

pro:

1. really cute assets in 3D!

con:

1. Some issues with collision detection that I died despite the shark is quite far away

2. the camera is a bit too close

Developer

The water bottles were intended to be more of a distraction when searching the water, but the colors were probably distinct enough that it didn't make much difference haha. Thanks for playing and for your comments; will keep all of this in mind for any future versions!

I really like the sound effects, and the 3d models are very well done! This turtle is agile! This could be its ninja turtle training!

Developer

Oooh, great idea, maybe ninja fighting the sharks should be the next level! Thanks for playing and for your comments!

Great job being the only 3D game! I liked how it encourages the strategy of running back and forth between the island and the water for safety! Is it possible to zoom out the camera a bit or have a way to tell if the shark is coming for a future enhancement? Might be a skill issue, but sometimes those sharks surprised me and ate my little turtle haha

Developer

Oh no, poor turtle! Thanks for playing and for the feedback; I'll keep that in mind for any future versions!

Really cute. Fun sounds and amazing animations!
My turtle did occasionally get eaten while on the island, which was confusing at first.

Great use of the theme!

Developer

Oh no, poor turtle! Guess the sharks learned to walk on land in this one. Thanks for playing and for the feedback, and I’ll have to address that in the next revision!

Developer(+1)

I added a quick update to address that, but always possible I just made it worse lol. Thanks again for playing, and for the feedback!
