A game where you use the recoil of your gun to send you flying
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
While you have a gun, bullets don't kill enemies and instead you have to propel your body into them to kill them. In this way, you are the weapon and the gun is more like a tool than a weapon.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
I started to learn game dev this month and this is my first jam, mainly I am just proud of making a completed game and I tried to implement a good amount of polish for a starter project like having the sprite change color when you can kill enemies, implementing shader to change palette, make level transitions.
None of these are revolutionary but I'm proud of working with these systems both to learn new skills while I worked on this but also hopefully takes it a little above just a minimum deliverable.

This was actually a pretty dang good time! I don't know if it is intentional or not but I notice if I am moving, jumping, and shooting all at the same time I go FLYING. Like super speed and super high. If intentional cool mechanic, if not, well you decide lol. Love that you can change themes. That is sweet.
I'm so glad you enjoyed. Yeah the momentum through jumping and shooting at the same time was intentional, originally to kill enemies you had to be going a certain velocity but it proved to be unintuitive in playtests because shooting alone wouldn't always work, so I changed it make it so the player would kill enemies anytime they were airborne after shooting
