Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
VirUs is a pikmin-style puzzle-platformer that takes place in a microscopic world - Inside the human body. The player controls a nanobot tasked with using viruses present in the body to navigate its way to the brain.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The player-controlled nanobot is a weapon used to destroy the human body through the control of destructive viruses.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Some players have noted it is not clear you must switch virus types (Tab) and throw at rings above you (Q for aiming guide) in the second level

This is neat. I also got stuck on the section with the green rings. Throwing green viruses at them didn't seem to do anything. Maybe I was just missing?

I liked the sparse environment with the flowing blood cells to mark out the main path.

On firefox my camera was trapped pointing straight up and all I could do was spin around very fast. On chrome things worked fine.

I like Pikmin, and I liked this game. I liked the implementation of the theme. One bug I did find was it stopped keeping track of my viruses after 3. Good game :)

the mouse sensitivity is a bit too high. it was kind of nauseating to play whiping back and forth like that. also wish i could move a bit faster. i did have fun with it though! good job!

Thanks for the feedback!

For what it's worth, that could be a bug. We found that the mouse sensitivity was different on different machines during testing but didn't have enough time to fix. I'm glad you had fun!

Another 3d Godot game set inside a body? Count me in :D

I can definitely see the pikmin inspiration and it a cool concept. The game is lacking polish however, to its detriment. No looping music, tracker in the corner of the screen is rarely acurate, I got stuck out of bounds in level two by being squeezed between that narrow cone shaped corridor and my little buddies.

It`s also not very challenging, even some basic navigation and platforming challenges in the first level would`ve spiced things up nicely. And my trip through level 2 was short due to going out of bounds so I didn`t get to see what other suprises were waiting for me.

It`s still a commendable effort and a good concept at heart, I`m looking forward to what you guys will do next, keep up the good work!

Thanks! Jams being what they are a few bugs are inevitable. Some of these are only present in the web export as well, which is unfortunate. (For example, music does loop on the windows build)

I will let you know that level 3 has some challenging platforming, if you ever decide to try again.

Thanks for the feedback!

Through playing this game I've realized that, ya know, viruses are kinda like us. They struggle. They don't always make the leap. But in the end, if they're persistent, they will win. Unfortunately.

Great game, I thought the difficulty was tuned perfectly

Cool game, love how every type of virus has completely different mechanics (instead of yellow virus destroys yellow stuff, green one destroys green stuff, etc.).

Developer

Thanks!! We're pretty proud of the variety we were able to fit in. Did you have a favourite virus?

Wow made me super nostalgic for pikmin. Glad to see another dev brave enough to make a 3D Godot browser game. I was really enjoying it but got stuck on the second level when you get the lil green guys.

Thanks so much for the comment! Pikmin was our main inspiration.

Was it the platforming or throwing the little green guys that you got stuck on in the second level?
