  • GDD: Very basic Would love to see development timeline & images of the game! Game: Art looks amazing, but no main menu? No pause menu? The jump mechanic sometimes doesnt work properly. And couldnt progress so far, so I dont get the feeling of the theme. Has to close the game from outside, which is bad player experience.

The concept is cool, and I love the art. I could never get the controls down to get through the first large wall. The floating gold platform was confusing -- it seems to be out of reach, but I'm guessing it factors in later.

Wish I could have seen more, but great work for doing this solo!

The "Gold Platform" was a health bar

Well that was a nice little experience, I did enjoy it for the time I played it :) I had a steep learning curve for the wall jumps but once I understood, I almost ran through the levels. The absence of sounds and music is a bit uncomfortable, but the art is nice. This is not your first game and it shows, but it's still impressive how quick you submitted it into the jam for the quality that's provided. Well done :)

Do you guys have a sound engineer music composer? Looking to join a team to do sound/ music lmk ty

Love the unpredictability and randomness of the level changes! It kept me engaged way longer than I thought I would stay. I got all the way until the creep reached the beginning, then thought..."What if I go backwards?" And when the game reset, that's when I stopped.
Once I figured out to hold the direction and THEN hit jump, instead of trying to do them simultaneously, it started going by much easier and faster.

I started to develop a narrative in my head of why this fungus is trying to eat me, but I share its color and I seem to be progressing it. Really interesting ambient storytelling.

I really like the idea, and the art is nice. Maybe increase the time frame for wall jump. And if you want people to finish the level multiple times, maybe make it shorter. Also add sounds! Otherwise great start!

Seems like a fine start. I learned that I can jump on the walls, but it's quite inconsistent.

Developer

Thanks, as far as the wall jumping there's a time frame you need to jump in
