- The game excels in replayability, offering an experience that players can enjoy repeatedly. It aligns perfectly with the theme of Shadows and Alchemy, using both elements in a creative and engaging way. The inclusion of challenges like rent and cops adds a clever twist to the gameplay, keeping it both challenging and entertaining. Additionally, the art style is refreshing and stands out, contributing to the overall appeal of the game. However, the only downside is that it can be difficult to decipher what kind of potion the customer is requesting. If you miss the dialogue, you're often left with little to no clues, making it challenging to guess the correct potion. This can hinder the flow of the game, but overall, it’s a well-crafted experience.
- I loved Papers Please and this felt like it and I can see you took inspiration form it! The randomly generated NPC text is interesting, but there could be a little more diversity. Some of the cop lines are pretty funny and made me roll my eyes a couple of times, it's fitting! Since I was enjoying the game in browser, I couldn't see the full extent of the graphics and shaders, but I can see where they are going from the screenshots and I love the Inscryption type artstyle for this game, it fits really well. It took me a moment to realize which potions did what, but after I got it, it isn't that bad. Though, instead of doing a +++ or a --- as a designation for a potion, you could make it a little clearer. Music could also be a lovely addition for some ambiance. I do hope you expand on the concept and the game, I will be keeping an eye on this project, even after the Jam is over. Thank you for your hard work, keep it up!
- Would have been nice to look at at least two different NPCs. But the game is really well done. I think having an = sign before or after the color of the potion would have made it easier to understand that these 3 ingredients = this potion.

Unsure of how to play due to not much instructions at the beginning.
Unsure what engine u used by first time playing it felt like it was downloading something.
Hello,
I'm sorry to hear that the game mechanics were poorly explained.
I'm currently abroad for the duration of the game jam but I'll try to add more instructions on the next game update. Could you tell me which game mechanic was not clear ? (Brewing potions, choosing the right potion, upgrading the price of a potion, using the trashcan, paying your rent...).
Also, the browser version indeed downloads the game's data temporarily in order for it to work on your computer. I believe it's the same process for every browser game.
I'm sorry for the inconveniences and am grateful for your comment,
Loïc
