- The game runs smoothly and I enjoyed the use of the platform mechanic. The level design kept me engaged and was challenging enough to be enjoyable. Would love to see this with more original art and sound. The theme was not quite reached with alchemy lacking representation.

Shadow weaver is a 2D platformer where the player controls a character who can transform their own shadow into a platform to navigate levels.
Shadow weaver is a 2D puzzle platformer where the player controls a character who can transform their own shadow into a platform to navigate levels.
Movement: The player controls the character with the usual platformer controls (WASD) to move left, right, drop through platforms, and jump.
Shadow Casting: A separate button press (e.g., space bar) extends a shadow from the character in the direction of their mouse if within the range of the player. This shadow acts as a solid platform that the character can stand on to access otherwise inaccessible areas, collectables.
Objectives: The primary objective is to navigate through levels using the shadow casting mechanic to find collectables and reach and unlock the exit. Levels will be designed with puzzles that require the player to use their shadow to overcome obstacles and reach higher / out of reach areas / collectables to progress.
Challenges: Players will encounter hazards such as large gaps, and pits of spikes that they must avoid using by their platforming skills and using their shadow to create safe paths around or climb to higher places to avoid.

might have issues on different browsers, only tested on chrome.

Very good job using the mechanic to make interesting levels. Great visuals as well!
Very fun game, levels are challeging and not very fustrating. Artwork is simple but gets the job done. Title is very good too.
Really good work, I love it! Great art and aesthetic. The levels were challenging. It would be cool to have a speedrun mode.
this is something i could look into doing could you give me some more info on what a "speedrun mode" would be?
Just a timer for each run and let the player know the time it took to complete all the levels at the end.
The screen is a bit too small to see the first initial writing and going forward goes too fast and u get impaled in spikes.
This is amazing, especially with it being your first time using Godot. You stuck to one unique mechanic and it works really well. The level design is engaging and the colors look good.
Only feedback i have is I think some music or ambience would help make it feel more cohesive. I might just be picky though since I'm a sound guy.
