- This is a really fun concept and a great implementation of the theme. I liked controls and the movement felt smooth and fluid. It does feel a little unnecessarily unforgiving at times, and I think that's okay, but it felt like it was difficult to figure out why I died in a few instances. I think the speed at which I took damage made sense when I was just crossing between shadows, but with the flames that I passed, I seemed to take damage so quickly that I couldn't even see what the impact was because I already hit the game over screen.

This game can be punishing if you make a mistake. Potion color is really important when making potions. Take your time and think things through, but if you mess up, you can always try again!

A cool game and great incorporation of the theme! I enjoyed playing.
Despite the description saying it's a punishing game, I found it rather easy. You just put every item in the cauldron, and get the potion you need to advance. I basically one shot the game, in about two minutes.
I can see plenty of work going into the programming side of things, I just wish you put the same effort into level building. It's rather short 😅
But the concept is neat. I hope you add more levels in the future!
I was impressed by the sheer amount of stuff I could combine, and how easy and intuitive it was to craft. While the game didn't test my knowledge of the alchemy system super hard, it seems like it would be fun in a roguelike/randomized setting where you have to manage your resources and craft just with what you're given. I also think the idea of having to stay within shadows is a fun mechanic, especially because the timer ticks down in a way that seems you're going to make it.
Good mechanics, and I'd love to see it expanded on further!
So I feel that it's not really well balanced especially for someone new because u lose your health too quickly when out in the sun. I think have it increase intensity over time would be better.
