  • didn't quite hit both themes I felt like, but I really enjoyed the light/shadow play. I think you should continue to work on this :)

Here we follow the noted alchemist, Phil O'Sopher. He aims to demonstrate that the fifth basic element is, in fact, light. Using his new potions, he can emit and occlude light as to change the world around him. He needs to watch his step, however. For if light is a tangible element, nothing in the shadows can be touched...

Extra Notes
Thank you for taking a look at my game. There are 9 levels and I ask that you complete all of them. Mechanics are unlocked as the player progresses so stopping early will leave significant parts of the game unenjoyed.

What a unique concept! Great visuals, sounds are basic but gets the point across. Puzzles can be really easy or pretty tough. Intro was excellent haha. Could use some more background music personally. The theme came across and had plenty of flavor and story elements. Great job!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I could certainly make the background loop longer but I'll likely not have the time now. In future though!

I really like the game especially the intro it felt great aesthetically wise.  I got up to the point with smell the flowers and I couldn't get past it. The platform moves faster then the character does so even if u just manage to get on there is no way to move in it's direction by staying close to the edge and even if I got to the middle i wouldn't be fast enough to get to the edge to jump off in time.

Feels like some levels should be play tested by the developers and fine tune them a bit.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I have played this level multiple times and have had people play it and none have yet complained. You're correct the the light does move fast but the level is possible...

  • Try anticipating when to jump so that you land at the right time
  • Walking back and forth with the light is the trick.

That said, I will run this by more people with extra attention on this level. I would recommend trying to get past it as some mechanics are only unlocked at later levels

Developer

I have pushed an update - if you would be kind enough to try again, you will find that you can keep pace with the light now

I just tried it again and its working much better now thank you :D
