Appreciate you taking the time to play! This was our first jam, and we definitely underestimated the time it takes to get assets done. We  had alot of ideas and only got the bare minimum of them into the prototype. But im very glad you got the jist of what we were going for with the atmosphere! Thanks again and good luck in judging!

Great job giving the feeling of fast movement! Great polish for the short time period, looking forward to the judging!

What a great job getting it so polished in the short time of the jam! As a fellow platformer creator for the Jam I'm in awe, look forward to seeing how the judging goes!

Appreciate you taking the time to play and give feedback. If we do a full version I definitely wanna keep the atmosphere and aesthetics while polishing up the movement and bringing in the actual upgrade system.

Thank you, im in love with the music too haha. Appreciate you for playing!

Appreciate your feedback, thanks for playing. The floatiness was a bit intentional but I agree it could be toned down. We'll unfortunately can't really change it now, so hopefully they feel the need to push through the whole demo since it's pretty short. Thanks again.

Yah haha we also were worried about updating to the newest version of Godot and reposting today, after the original was mostly working. But we are hoping itll solve some of our WebGL error issues. Thanks again.

That sounds great! If you have a chance check out my submission, would love some more feedback if possible. <3

Thanks for taking the time to play! And appreciate the honest feedback. We wanted to have a bit of a floaty feel to it as the character has become much lighter due to the experimentation. It kinda gives a "bouncing off the walls" feel after you unlock wall jump. We had about 10 levels in the original design schedule but this is our first Jam and we heavily underestimated the how long things take to make from scratch haha. But if the game gets popular enough, we would love to do a full release!

Ah that makes more sense. Its not easy interpreting the theme in unique ways, I get it. But your unique gameplay loop really carries this game as well. I'd love to see a fully released version with more polish and story elements! If you have time, check out my platformer I entered in the jam we have similar atmospheres :)

Thanks for checking it out, and yes I love how the music plays out too. We wanted to balance the fact that traps do not instantly kill you with more sparsely laid out check points, which will lean into the additional mechanics we would implement on a full version.

And yes! there is an ending to the demo with credits, ending card, and a short story to read that builds on the hints you gathered during the game. Not to mention each room has journal entries to discover and new mechanics to introduce (wall jumping, slide tunnels, slippery surfaces)

Yah time is super rough on these jams, even with 5 people i had for mine we felt rushed the whole time haha. Feel free to check it out and give me some feedback as well. Again great job.

Of course, if you get a chance check out the game I submitted. Id love your feedback. Again that intro was *chefs kiss*

Solid game, gameplay is pretty fun and difficult. The sounds and music are pretty basic but get the point across. The theme is there with the light and shadow, but the alchemy theme is forced. Just the character being a wizard/alchemist and the "potion" that breaks shields. Also no real introduction to story or flavor elements that has to do with the theme. Overall a pretty great game though, well done.

What a unique concept! Great visuals, sounds are basic but gets the point across. Puzzles can be really easy or pretty tough. Intro was excellent haha. Could use some more background music personally. The theme came across and had plenty of flavor and story elements. Great job!

As a fellow 2d platformer creator, I really appreciate this game. The art is solid and goofy, the sounds are funny (mr. squidward), and the gameplay is quite solid. The use of the turning orb as night and day is brilliant, and having that effect the environment (at least once) was a good move. The potion system was fairly solid. It fit the theme, but was bummed there was no story elements to link the character and world to the theme. Nonetheless very solid work, well done!

Not the biggest visual novel fan myself, but I like what you did with the theme. The art style is quite jarring, and hard for me to look at for long periods of time. The sound for the text honestly drives me insane, maybe make it more subtle? Enjoyed it for a bit nonetheless, well done.

Great job on making a really fun game! Such simplicity but intricate enough to make me wanna keep going till I beat all 6 days. The introduction of the shadow overlord as a limitation factor was super smart incorporation of the theme! Well done.

Super interesting concept, you did well getting everything you got done in the timeframe. I have some of the same issues as others have posted. Some of the animations are too subtle, the character doesn't feel very controllable, the wall jump walls don't feel consistent on how they work (specially when they start becoming more horizontal), and my personal biggest issue is the incorporation of the theme is extremely vague and underdeveloped.  The feeling of movement while platforming is awesome though, and it was pretty fun overall!
