  • Health bars on enemies might help with the impact of the game. As it felt really long to kill things or as if attacks may not have been registering. Health bars show that impact as well. The idea is good and helps make it feel a more refresh take of a bullet hell. The art could use a little animation but otherwise is very good!

The player will battle their way past hordes of demons using their sun spear and moon katana. Each weapon will be stronger against certain enemies and weaker against others, requiring the player to handle the weapons effectively in order to deal damage efficiently. The player will also have an “Eclipse” ability that will allow them to unleash a burst of high damage attacks for a limited amount of time using the powers of both weapons. Eclipse will be charged as the player deals damage to enemies and will gain more charge depending on the amount of damage the player deals to enemies. The player will deal more damage when using the correct weapon type against an enemy, therefore rewarding them with more Eclipse charge for using the correct weapon.

I love the openness of the field and bullet hell type game.

It's already fun to play, and with some more polishing, it would be a fantastic game.

Feedbacks:

I think the player's bullet range could be increased!

Some more polishing and quality improvements (I was able to boundary break pretty easily)

would make this game great.

Keep up the good work!

I really love the enemy designs. Unfortunately the enemies' health is really high, and there is not feedback on hit, so it is a bit confusing.

However, it does work! Great work and reasonable for a jam submission.

A fantasy bullet hell crawler is a very cool idea.

The art here is funky with fun enemy design.

Sadly it's overly difficult with zero feedback on what is effective. You have 2 weapons, but you cannot tell which weapon works on which enemy, or even if the weapon is hitting the enemy. Most enemies seem to be able to be kited but even the very first enemy in the game is ludicrously tanky.

There's a lot of potential but this falls into the "making it hard for the sake of it" category. One of the biggest flaws a game jam game can make. Players will play something that is too easy. Players will play through something that is easy and then gets hard. Players will not play through something that seems unfair from the start.
