  • Very tight game! Loved the parallaxing! Both in the title menu as well as during the game. The concept is well thought out, and the execution is great. Love myself some Retrowave music, and the sound effects for crashing were perfect. Ideas for the future: - Make the level shorter, so you can have more levels! I didn't make it to the end, because after a few times of almost reaching it and failing, it became super frustrating and I didn't want to go through the whole, long trip again. - Create levels, either with new assets, or more of them, or sprites that do different things. - Maybe at the end of the level, you either destroy the aliens, and then there is a new threat, or it was a dud, and you have to go after a new tip on where they are (your princess is in another castle). Maybe the aliens start to find out that you are trying to destroy them, which is why in future levels some enemies try to follow you, or shoot you, or whatever! - Power ups! Maybe extra lives or shields during the level. - Progression tree? There's loads of potential here, and you have a lot of potential (and skill already). Keep going!!

It looks and feels so good wth. Everything feels so clean, including how the player moves in gameplay. Although not the most interesting gameplay wise, the polish just oozes over it and makes it an actually fun time. Fantastic entry (also a solo endeavor with this much quality sound and art and ui is nutty)

I love the, what would you call it, parallax effect with the mouse movement affecting the menu UI? Everything is so buttery-smooth and a pleasure to look at. Great game!

I did it! I don't know how you manage to make everything on your own, it's insane. The graphics were really nice to look at, the the audio complimented the gameplay amazingly. Everything in the game ran smoothly, even on the web build, so no complains from me there. Though, a fullscreen option on web would have been nice because I kept moving my cursor outside of the game screen on my first few attempts. Anyways, it was nice playing another one of your jam submissions and I'm looking forward to your next one!

Probably a bit late since you finished it, lol, but I did go ahead and enable the fullscreen button which itch adds by default.
...Honestly no idea why I didn't add that when I first uploaded. Maybe I thought the button would clash with my elegant ui or something. v('-')v

As for my next game, I'm gonna try my hand at making a full project again, not in the limiting scope of a jam, with more diligence to not fall into the same pit I got in between this jam and the last. So y'kno, I'll keep you posted.

Fantastic UI, realy good quality!

You did a good job making the visuals of the spaceship feel good when you move the mouse around. That little bit of lag really sells the game. Nice job!

This is great, I especially liked the music and UI!
