  • I got a graphical glitch on the Settings button on the main screen upon loading in, along with a few others in the menu (shows in Vivaldi but not Edge). The game runs very slowly in some browsers (about 5-6fps in Vivaldi, but fine in Edge) which can make it very difficult to play. The gameplay is very reminiscent of one of the games you took inspiration from: namely Getting Over It. It is both fun and frustrating. You took the very literal interpretation of this theme and made it give quite the impression! The music is infuriatingly cheery, and the failure sounds are great and really stoke the fires of frustration. I like the art direction of grungy trashy leftovers of a civilization, and the occasional art and propaganda that is seen and gives life to the world. In your GDD, you did not include any planning or talk about the roles of your different developers. You also did not include any stretch goals or Minimum Viable Product goals either. However, you did very well cover the mechanics and art/music direction as well as covering the player experience. I am curious to see where this game goes as it improves! Thanks for your fun-strating entry to this jam!

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
Stranded on a forgotten planet, a small but determined exploration robot must find its way back home using an unconventional method of movement—its shotgun! With no climbing legs or wheels, the robot relies on recoil propulsion, blasting its shotgun to launch itself across treacherous landscapes, manoeuvring through abandoned ruins, deadly chasms, and ancient alien machinery.

Master the art of controlled chaos as you shoot to move, rotate, and evade obstacles, all while uncovering the secrets of the planet and piecing together the mystery of its lost colony. Will you find a way home, or will this world become your final scrapyard?

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
We are using robot with shotgun as a player, so We Are The Weapon.

Fun little foddian style game. The controls were smooth, and felt great to navigate. Double barrel shotgun was a fun way to include double jump and unique angling from other foddians. Good work!

So finely tuned, I can only imagine how much time was spent carefully positioning objects. A really fun game, excellent work!

Developer

Thank you for you kind words sir! Yes our designer and 3D artist spent most of the time to create this level.

I think it's a good format for a rage game! The controls are just good enough and the force of the gunjust good enough to climb! Nice job!

Developer

Thank you! It took a lot of iterations to make controls work like this :)
