  • GDD The GDD was perfect; I have nothing to add. Very well done. Gameplay Thanks to the handy schematic on the game page, i was able to figure out where the shartp bits are, and the bouncy bit. The gameplay loop surprised me; it looks very simple but still has a lot of small things to spice things up. When I noticed that the dull bit not only keeps the bounce but lowers the height, I started blasting the levels. And using the dull edge as a lever to hook on the high cabinets was such a nice touch. And you made the clock an obstacle? You monster. Art Lovely art meshes well with the vibe of the game. It was well defined and sharp (I am so punny). Amazing color palette; I can see the inspiration for the scenario, Mom's kitchen, 1976. Sound design The BGM is a blast. I left it on loop while writing the review. Matches the vibe of the game very well, and the little touches like the balloon noises were great. The SFX is very responsive. Pop goes the balloon. Last thoughts What a joy of a game. Really fun to play, and the BGM is a gem. The only thing I can think of adding is a little polish on the collision, especially on the tip of the knife. And you can always add more levels later; this kind of game has a lot of room to grow. Great job.

The player takes on the role of a kitchen knife, which can be considered a weapon.

The controls and gameplay are really intuitive and I also really liked the sound design and the music. One thing I will say is some of the levels where you had no way to jump up except to parkour off of a higher block were really challenging. One thing that could fix that would be always having a lower block to get to a higher block. Besides that there is not much to say except that I enjoyed the gameplay and art!

This was an incredibly cute game. Your choice of music was absolutely perfect. I couldn't manage the level with two cabinets you had to get under with a little outcropping in the middle. That was so difficult. But I was really enamored with it

During first level I thought "why is it so easy" and in second level I thought "oh here it is". fun little game got stuck in 4 level. I liked the speed as it is now it was nicely challenging. Also the knife on spring is very adorable.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it.

Platformers that limit the control of the player always present some unique experiences. This game feels like it has some interesting mechanics to offer but are locked away behind knowledge checks I can't quite figure out. Feel like it would have benefited from slowing the game down like 25%

Thanks for playing the game and for your valuable feedback! It looks like the game mechanics aren’t as intuitive as I thought they would be. Did the confusion start right from the beginning, or was there a particular level where things stopped making sense? I’ll look into adding some guidance/hints in the early levels to help players ease into the mechanics.
