- This game has a very interesting mash of a jumper and a sidescroll battler that hits the graphics and music of the 80s vibe well. The graphics style is on point, with the naruto running ninja jumping over the temple walls. I would say the enemies are more reminicent of shinobi's than other ninjas. From a gameplay point of view, there is an issue with input lag where the spacebar action is not recognized for a jump. Extra work on testing the feel for the game and reducing that delay will greatly increase playability. When it recognizes the jump action however, I enjoyed it as an idler jumper that would fix my frustration when the internet is out. From fitting the theme, yes you are indeed a weapon killing other ninjas while jumping over stuff. I would like to see a bit more dynamism with the enemies instead of moving just right to left. as an added level of complexity it would be great to see the enemies moving on the Y axis as well. Overall, good job! needs a bit of polish but the key themes and functions work well.

The player transforms into a sword to attack enemies.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Outside of the font, I made all of the assets! Also, this is my first complete game! Any feedback welcome.

The art is really nice, and this is a cool take on the google-dinosaur-type runner! I do think the choice of one button hurts the way the game feels; it’s really hard to time jumps and attacks when they don’t come out the moment I press the button, and sometimes it felt like my jump input got eaten if I held it for slightly too long and attacked instead. Other than that, the idea is interesting and well executed, good job!
Love your art style ! Took me a bit to get used to but once I did it felt great to chain jumps and kill enemies mid air. The death screen looks really nice too, great job :)
GDD is solid!
Prototype is visually solid!
Single button for jump/attack can be a little frustrating, but perhaps that is part of the intent.
