  • Okay I loved this, this is a real gem of a game. The different attack patterns are so relatable to the knife and varied enough to make the game engaging and fun. It does not get boring and I was invested the whole time. Very clever balance of obstacles on screen enough of a challenge but not overwhelming and seeming to scale at an appropriate rate. The sound effects did not feel too monotonous. My biggest critique is that during the tutorial where you have to block with the shield and attack the slime simultaneously the window feels too short I had to attempt it several times and it felt like I had to get lucky with the swiping progress to actually complete it. A bit brave to have the first main foe be a dragon, whatever shall Excalibutter face now as a greater foe?

Summarise your game!
ButterKnife dreams of becoming the ultimate weapon, ExcaliButter! But will he like what he becomes?
Simple Click and Drag controls.
Drag ButterKnife over gesture icons to clear them, drag Shield to block enemy attacks.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The player is both literally a “weapon”, to the extent that a butter knife can be considered a weapon, and the goal of the game is also to overcome trials meant for more literal weapons, and eventually reach the status of legendary weapon.

A ton of diverse mini-games—super impressive! Implementing so many mechanics is no small feat, and you pulled it off well. Unfortunately, I couldn't reach the finale—got lost in that mission where you have to deflect projectiles😅

Overall, I really enjoyed it. Great job!

Very cute game, I had a lot of fun with it. I won't spoil the ending for other folks, but I have QUESTIONS lol. Great job making a simple mechanic engaging to play until the end
