- Upon opening this game, I was fascinated by the artwork done and the hand drawn elements that accompanied the gameplay. I do feel that this game would do well with a tutorial level instead of an instructions page, as timing is an integral part of the combat. Secondly, since this is a game about mastering mechanics, I think a restart/go back on the defeat screen would be beneficial instead of booting players back to the selection screen, which would save on player frustration in the long run once there are more levels in the game. Moving on to the Game Design Document, everything that I look for was there, and the layout was organized, making it easy to find what I needed to get to. One thing struck me with the development timeline, however, which was that everything had a finish by January 30th date, making me think you might have misinterpreted the meaning of this section. The purpose of this section is putting things in perspective of importance or dependence reflected by the finish by date. For example, mapping player input and coding combat should be done before the menu coding is done, right? Why have a menu for a game if there is no game, etc. Other than that everything looks good and was fun! All in all, great work!

A repeat the pattern game where you use either wasd or arrow keys to do cool karate moves to block the attacks of your foes.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
Using the power of karate learned form a magazine you have turned yourself into a weapon capable of stopping any attack!

Great concept for a game! I love stuff like this and the art and characters you are fighting against really sell it. Biggest problem is I couldn't play because no matter the input I instantly lost but this game has a lot of great potential and definitely deserves a full update once the jam is over! Great job in getting a game out there!
Artistically, game's great. Mechanically, I struggled a lot lol. The second attacks seemed to happen instantly to me. Maybe it's a skill issue, idk. Cute game though!
