- I enjoyed your game, it fits theme perfectly as you are the sentient sword. The art style is really nice and I love the design of "Nympaea" The colors are nice and fit your theme. The gameplay is simple and easy to learn, I would love to see the game at a future date to see what the gameplay turns into.

-Nymphaea is a comedic arcade game about a holy sword of the same name that never wanted to be used for violence. But after decades of war she is one of the last holy swords left so there is a rush to obtain her. Chased from continent to continent trying to get away she is running out of energy and decides to hide in a pond. After the first adventurer finds her she moves to hide from the rest who want to become a great wielder of an unclaimed holy sword. Nymphaea just wants to relax so help her resist these lame, selfish people!

The art is so unique, and it's a very interesting take on the theme. Feels very polished which is a lot better than overextending for less quality. We really liked it!
Thank you so much for playing and reviewing! We definitely have plans to extend gameplay so the quality extends there as well!
Short and sweet :]!
Artstyle looks awesome, great work on that buddo! And ya definitely fit the theme in a creative way x]!
Great job amigo! Looking forward to how you build on this further <3!
Thank you so much !
A really simple game!
The art style is really cute, and the sound effects are nice. I like the start of the game with the short cutscene-esque style then straight into the game. It’s simple and easy to understand what you’re supposed to do.
I like that there is sort of a leeway if you click too early, as it still detects it as being a pass.
Currently the game is a little too short to have much to say about the gameplay, but it feels a lot like playing a minigame, such as a fishing mechanic or reload mechanic in other games. I see that you will be updating the game, and I’m interested to see how this goes from a minigame to a standalone game.
Great job for the jam!
Thank you so much for playing our game! Yes we will adding more (hopefully) one input gameplay mechanics in future updates and definitely will be longer. XD
I love the art style! I'm also impressed that through visuals alone, you're able to effectively convey exactly how to play the game. Furthermore, I enjoy the gameplay too, not too hard nor too easy. The only thing I can nitpick is the fact that the game doesn't fill the window.
It's a little short now, but I see that you have a lot planned. I'm sure this game will grow to become something really amazing (*^▽^*) Not that it isn't already pretty rad
Aaaa! Thank you so much for playing and the compliments! Yes. Definitely the last 2 days I realized "Wow, this screen is off for some reason." TT . TT It will definitely be fixed in a future iteration. Which will hopefully have more fun 1 input mini games and story. We are so happy that it was easy to understand how to play with no words. We really wanted to experiment with visual storytelling because 1 = Fun and 2= no need for translation.
Short and sweet little game. I appreciate that the difficulty isn't crazy. The art is so wonderful! I know you were asking about thumbnail advice in discord, so if you still want a suggestion, I think adding one of your cute characters would be great. It's just such a shame that the lovely art isn't being fully showcased!
I'm so glad you like the art and the character designs! It was a lot of fun drawing them. Oooh adding a character would be a great idea for the thumbnail I'm gonna try that as well as we continue working on the game. Thank you so much for your feedback and playing our game!
The art is so charming! I love the soft color pallet and cute little frog. It was also super clear what to do when playing the game. Best of luck as you continue developing!!
Thank you so much for playing and your feedback! The soft color palette was a must for me so I'm glad everyone is enjoying it! lol
Wow! This was a great entry. Even though the mechanics were simple the art and use of music conveyed the story. Loved the art and color palette choice. The sound fx were good.
Good entry!
Thank you so much!
Very sweet game. Nice clean illustrations, the colour palette works great, and the visual storytelling works well.
Solid GDD, too!
I loved the use of Erik Satie's - Gymnopédies No.1.
It really sets a pleasant atmosphere. I actually have it on my writing playlist.
Cool concept! I enjoyed!
I got humbled by my reaction times though LOL
Thank you so much for playing! Yeah I definitely realized that I need to work on my reaction times play testing it. LOL
I won! I may have lost 3 times though, thank you for having a retry button!
Thank you so much for playing! Yeah no problem. I typical have skill issues with games like this so it was important to me for a player not to have to start all over from the beginning because it can be disheartening at certain times. <3
Really simple game. Like less-than-a-minute short, but you can tell there was a lot of thought put into it in terms of story, art, and I think even optimization since it ran so smoothly in the few seconds it did. I hope to see more in the near future. <3
Thank you so much for your time in playing and reviewing our game! We are hoping to keep up the same energy in a full release in the future!
The art is amazing! I also love the music and the sound effects! The story concept is really interesting too! Really nice entry!
Thank you so much for playing and the review! We tried hard so it's very nice to hear you enjoyed our choices. Lol. It's so hard to find the right sounds to fit the mood sometimes.
Though this game might be short, throughout its runtime, it shows a huge amount of heart, soul and personality. The art on this is simply extraordinary. The logo caught my eye a lot! Then, there's the cutscenes and the animation during gameplay. Something about the color palette, the cute and beautiful art and the animation style just gives the game a LOT of charm. This also extends to the UI box of the timing minigame, which looks awesome!
The concept of the story is a cool twist on Excalibur. The sword itself not wanting to be used for violence any longer and having that be the "Why?" of why it's so heavy to pull off is interesting! I see a lot of interesting possibilities for that set up.
The music is very fitting and perfectly achieves the atmosphere you guys were going for. Gives a fantasy, magical, light and humorous feeling to the game. Very pleasant!
Also, love the designs of the frog and the strong guy. The strong guy's especially. Who would have thought that such a mighty warrior would've been wearing socks?
Would love to see more. I like this a lot!
Yeah, it was definitely a struggle to try to keep our personality in something with such a short time through but I'm very happy that you still get the feeling despite that. Hopefully in further development we can show all the cool ideas/mechanics we didn't have time for. Thank you for noticing the effort despite the hilariously short gameplay and hope to honor that and carry on the energy through the rest of our game development journey.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review and play our game!
Simple game but the art really makes it shine! Great job!
Thank you so much!
