  • The movement was very well done in this game. The dash and wall jump were a nice touch, giving the player more mobility was nice. I liked the different abilities that you were offered on level up, each one was different from the last. the environment was a bit to big and open for how fast you could move and how you can wall jump. The art style was very nice, gave a creepy horror game vibe.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
The game is of survivor-like genre. Your goal is to survive as long as you can, beating various stages and bosses on your way.

There is a persistent upgrade system that might be hard to notice. Monsters drop a resource called "Soul" which can be used in the Lobby to buy permanent upgrades. Beware though as Souls are lost on death. A dimension portal is spawned after every boss that you can use to end the run prematurely and save your collected souls.

WASD - Movement
Space - Jump/WallJump
F - Dash
Shift - Crouch/Slide

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The Player is a vessel for weapons that are passively used. There was an idea of active abilities but it did not make it till the deadline.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
99% of the assets and code were prepared during the jam. Unfortunately we don't have much of UX so there's not much of emphasis on some of the features. Please pay attention to the wall jumping and dashing features as they are really useful but can be overlooked easily.

Also important info since we did not do any UX. You're supposed to enter the portal thats to the right of the castle in the Lobby. This is how you start a run and also end. During the run if the music tones down to a mellow one - it means that a portal back to Lobby has opened and it's available somewhere on the map.

Thanks a lot <3 We are very proud of the art we did for this jam. Especially the sprites for enemies. It gives a personality to it.

We are going to continue development on the game, be on a lookout for a devlog with more details about all of that.

I like the speed of the movement on the ground and the feelings of the jumping. Also i like the graphics! I think jumping from platform to platform is a little difficult. Like it's hard to control where you want to go when you're in the air. I'm also not sure of where i should go but i liked the look of the world so much that I went exploring anyway. Nice job!
