- Quite the polished experience! Fantastic use of VFX and perspective FOV shifting when possessing enemies. Great art for the environment and the enemy characters as well. However I did not see a section for art in the GDD to compare planning and execution of it. Performance was smooth and never pitfalled or hiccuped. The gameplay loop is enjoyable moving from monster to monster and fun to play in general. But one bug really detracted from repeat playing. After the first game over and respawning to a new game. You always start as discovered and the monsters on the hunt for you. I had to manually refresh the page to ensure a clean new game experience after every death. The locomotion of the player character seemed to be a bit cumbersome and lots of head bob. I believe this may have been connected to a bug that resulted in the player character auto-running forward after exiting an animal in spirit form. No way to cancel this forced movement except another possession and exit hoping it reset the auto-run. Seeing a slight increase in resolution of the pixelated effect filter might be of benefit visually further down the line of development.

The player plays as a weakened Warlock that has been recently defeated. They must regain the strength and leave the dungeon. The Warlock is able to weaponize his own soul, and gain souls from the monsters by possessing them.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The player weaponizes themselves through possession to kill the monsters of the dungeon, to accomplish their objective.

Atmosphere was everything. Pretty spooky with the possession mechanic putting you into the eyes of the monster? That was really cool. Great entry. Loved the style
Thanks for trying out the game! :)
The atmosphere is on point! I really like the visual style you have throughout the dungeon. The movement and possession mechanic seem pretty fluid as well. The only criticism I have would be to somehow inform the player of what to do/where to go in the level itself instead of the separate tutorial option in the main menu. I would also look into spreading out the NPC spawns. On my playthrough it seemed like they spawned together in groups.
Cool concept! I'd love to see more
Definitely need more work on the NPCs, discovered lots of bugs after submitting the game. I agree with the part about tutorial too. After playing the game you submitted, it got me thinking about how to best bring the player up to speed on how to play without breaking the immersion too much.
Thanks for the feedback, appreciated!
Amazing atmosphere, the graphics and the assets are amazing. The idea and gameplay are interesting and the dungeon aesthetic is perfect, really polished looks. Great entry!
Thanks for trying out the game!
neat! I like the aesthetics. it was a little underwhelming when the eyes saw me and it took about 3-4 min for the monster to come find me though!
My only big gripe with this game is the movement is really sluggish (despite being a weakened warlock) - it always felt like the character would take an extra (really large) step and gets caught by the eyes easier
Thanks for trying out the game! Usually when the player gets spotted, the script teleports the monster nearer to the player instead of having the monster walk all the way, but I guess there are some bugs there that I need to fix.
Guess I have to put in more work into the difficulty and player movement. Thanks for the feedback! :)
Not a problem! I look forward to this one getting updated ^-^
I'm not generally a fan of horror games, but I decided to give this game a try anyways. I think the aesthetic is nice, and the animation of possessing a monster is amazing! I can't give much feedback as I am not really sure what horror games need to focus on, but the game does leave you in suspense when navigating through the dungeon! One thing I must say though is that the walk feels a little too jumpy for me.
Thanks for trying it out! For the walk I wanted to create kind of a limping effect, but I guess I should to tone it down a little bit more. Appreciate the feedback!
