The jam was fun, and we both learnt a lot but the last couple of days were pretty stressful. We over scoped a little bit :)

What a Great Game!

So Let me go deep on this because I want to:

A (right Top corner): I love the Head woobling and looking where you are, AMAZING Touch of polisch, The Background as Healthbar is very subtile, maybe a little brighter for better visibility.

I suggest to color the bricks of the Headframe Golden -> as indicator how many Moves you have left. And make them Grey when spent -> and refill when new turn is available. B( Map and Visuals): This Game looks adoarble! I Know you want to make all your self -> but I highly recommend to look at the assets from Steven Colling, the artstyle is close to yours and you may get alot of Inspiration or can use it for your Game! They aren t very expensiv and high quality.

The Map Is versatile and was interesting to explore. I love that you made the Tiles Dark if you didn t visit them and highlighted when you have been there. Great Visual indication.

The Clicks on the Grid sometimes glitched out and the Farmers or my Skeleton was Offgrid (half of the way to the next) and then the Enemies could't be hit anymore. I guess thats a fixable bug :) I would love to find "Chest" or "Ruins" where you get a little text and have to make a desition and then you have a chance of getting an Item or an enemy spawn or something like that.

The Quests where very small but on point - I like it.

C (Stats and Gear):  Visualy very clear !  Mechanics of Aim (I guess a percentage of missing) was ... well I think I only missed once at the paladin xD - More Enemies with different Difficulty may make this Value more interessting :)

The GearItems have been a nice addition! I was looking around alot for them but I guess, if you walk over an Item you Pick it up anyway. So I had to fight the Endboss with lether armor instead of the  chainmail that I had before :( Maybe you don t pick it up if you have a better one, or you have a Pickup Prompt.

D(Potion slot and extensions): I guess the Potion slot should be something to Heal your self because that was the one thing I was very missing in the Game at the moment. Seeing that you will implement this makes me very happy! I would think about "Skills" bound to the Items, like a Multi hit on the axe hitting Gridtiles next to the center or a Spear hitting 2 in a row. The Enemies with bows or magic could have a Range attack, makes it harder but interessting. Last but not least: The Game is predestinated for a random generated map I guess. You could make different "Leveled" areas, so you can generate  specific bioms or areas to make the Player don t start in a dangerzone but you will  figure stuff out!  I recomment playing "For the King" as example if you want to make the Game more Story driven :)

Conclusion:

The Game got me with the Grafics, I was invested from the start because of the simple mechanics, and I didn t feel any barrier to complete the Game. it was interessting challangin, replayable at least once at the Moment, bigger Map, or Randomizer would make that number go up invinite! The UI Squishies and Readability is amazing! I realy like it!

I had a blast playing it! Thanks for creating this!

Works smoothly, looks nice. I really like that your character on the right follows you around the board. Well executed! But I want to know, how to you regain HP? I was fighting all over the place thinking I would level up or something lol

I like the game especially the art an animations. I do have to say there could have been a tutorial and some more clear instructions.

Wow! love the art, animations, information readily being available for items and people. The fog of war was fantastic

Going forward, I could see this benefitting from use clearer visual clarification of  turn amounts(both gaining turns and losing them for you and the enemies), movement ranges and a option to not pick up from a tile or swappable items.
