- Nice first game! We hope that this submision will be a start of a beautiful hobby. For my small suggestion (as you mentioned it too at the game page) adding graphic to the platforms and background would go a long way in making this game more appealing.
- I liked the character movement, the positioning of the platforms and the challenges with the skewers. I also found the connection between the scenes and the character animation interesting. As you already stated in the description of your game on Itch.io, you already know the points to be developed in your project. Congratulations on making this a father and son project and I hope to hear more from you both.
- For the first game jam I think it's good, of course you still must learn many things, but I think you have tried your best! Good job!
How does your game relate to the Pixel New Year Jam theme?
The game level is made up of a number of all connected rooms ending in the first room.
Did you have fun at this game jam?
Yes, first jam I did together with my son, wish we had been able to do more but we might continue working on the game later.

haha loved it! nice job on the coyote timer for jumping, made everything more forgiving. hope you guys keep making games!
Simple and sweet; I like it! I agree with queijoquente's comment about a checkpoint. I think it would benefit from a checkpoint on or right before a couple of the harder rooms would be perfect.
For a first gamejam a good result, gameplay is interesting, I would also add some interaction with the pickaxe. I also noticed that the character is blurry, I'm not sure if that's the problem, but I'll write about it. When you export sprites in unity, then in "Filter mode" you need to select "point", so that there was no blurring and I also "compression" set to "high quality"
Thank you for the feedback and the tip. I will for sure look at that import setting!
Loved the character animation :=)
Thank you for the feedback! Appreciate it. :)
the game looks nice, but I think that when the player dies, they could start over in the room where they died.
Thank you! That kind of checkpoint could be cool, I just don’t know if it might make the game too simple though? Appreciate your feedback!
