The slide feels weird, like i press it and it crouches and then i have to press it again and it slides... i don't know, checkpoints are needed, the echolocation is weak, the game looks good and sound/music design is okay, i don't know if there was some way to regenerate health but that's also needed.

Yeah, the Slides were acting weird, sadly didn't quite have the time to check that out!

Health regens and checkpoints were planned but I simply ran out of time :D

Thank you very much for the feedback!

Personally, I found this game to be quite enjoyable! The mechanics are well-designed, and the foes you encounter are really cool. I particularly like the challenge of using your blaster to detect them while also dodging their attacks; it adds a layer of fun to the gameplay.

However, my main issue lies with the double jump mechanic of the blaster. I experienced instances where it didn't work as intended, and it caused some frustration. It seemed inconsistent, and I often struggled to execute the double jump successfully. Additionally, I felt that the jumping overall could be improved. The character's movements felt a bit too heavy, especially when navigating certain sections like the invisible platforms. It made those jumps particularly challenging and sometimes resulted in moments of frustration! :(

Despite these concerns, I must say that the game is quite impressive, considering the amount of content developed in a short timeframe. The decision to use Unreal Engine for the visuals was a good choice, as it delivers the desired aesthetic. (even if some players may have trouble performance wise due to it being, well UE)

Overall, it's a job well done! The game offers an enjoyable experience with its engaging mechanics and cool foes. The few issues I encountered didn't fully overshadow the overall positive impression. Keep up the good work!

A few checkpoints would be nice and the jumps are a bit too hard to perform. However the fast paced game play with the echolocation gun that propel you backward is pretty fun ! It's a shame the enemies aren't a bit more visible once they're revealed, because it makes shooting where the orange bullets come from much more reliable.

Everything you said is 100% valid, I wish I had a bit more time for proper testing and I would have noticed and balanced those things... But that's just how game jams go :D

My pc couldn't run the game well :/, but the music and the ambience was pretty cool!
