A place to post your goals at the start of the week! (optional)

build a small paper play of a game (probably using scratch or something) to show my design skills

I want to have a parser that parses the input of the rules for my game.  I want it to process and output the rules as HTML.

The point is to have the rules in the software match the rules in the manual all the time.

I want to string together little milestones like this to wind up with an actual piece of software.

Make something small, but with all my own art! I'll probably get some music/sounds from online somewhere, but  for this project I'll try to make my own art and animations using aseprite

I'm learning Unity and C# by adding features to a game bit by bit. I'm not trying to make a full game, just work on elements I can then reuse in 'actual' games. This week I want to make a ladder the player can 'climb'.

I'm also going to look try out Blender for the first time, so I'm not going to beat myself up if I get sucked into that instead and don't submit anything!

  • finish adding skeleton as enemy
  • make a new weapon for skeleton as a test for projectiles
  • (maybe add companions when the artist delivers)
