  • I was rather impressed with this one! A grid-based fighter with multiple weapons, enemy types and a pretty significant pregnancy progression is not something I expected, but that's what this game is! The story is cute, even if it became pretty ovbious from the first scene on and even if Taylor is perhaps a tad bit too dumb for my liking. The gameplay feels a slight bit wonky at times, especially because I never really felt like using any weapons besides the spear and the gun and some of the enemies feel a bit unbalanced - especially the dark blue shield slimes who turn just a tad too fast for melee weapons to be viable most of the time. Still, this is a great first part of what I presume will be a larger-scale narrative given the "To be Continued" at the end. I would suggest making the spacebar not skip the current message fully unless all the text is already completely present - I also noticed that some of Vivi's comments get cut off before she completes them... Gameplay-wise I'd suggest making the sword, axe and blades be a bit more viable because as it stands they are far outclassed by the spear and gun as reach is far more important than damage. Overall I'd love to see this game continued and see if Taylor manages to grow half a romantic brain, even if it may take her some time.

Very cute game. The character interactions and art are great. Loved seeing the pair interact with each other as their bellies grew. The combat was pretty solid but I feel like there was some more room for depth to make it a bit more engaging. The other weapon types certainly were interesting but I found myself using the sword the most simply because the cooldown on swings felt a bit cumbersome at times despite the interesting attack patterns. Also I encountered a bug a few times where clicking too fast after completing a stage caused a soft lock that made me have to restart. A simple save system or level select would have helped make this less frustrating but bugs are inevitable in a jam scenario so it’s very understandable. Overall a very cute game and I’d love to see the finished ending when it’s implemented.

good game, like it

probably my favorite game in the jam so far it just sucks that it leaves on "to be continued..."

no way to save in this yet?

It isn't a very long game, only around 30 minutes to beat (even shorter if you skip through the cutscenes), so I thought a save feature wasn't really needed.

i really liked the game so far
combats ok so far.

the art is really good loved it.

also is this a mystery story? it feels like a mystery story.

but so far it's good

Was fun, I look forward to seeing how it develops in the future.
