I am aware of this bug and how to fix it. I'll have another bug fix update soon with some other stuff in it

(1 edit)

I'll keep a list of known bugs here for everyone to see. Version 1.1 has these bugs fixed, so I would recommend you play with that version, however for the judges please use the original "Vivian's Diner Shift" download for scoring.

  • The top left table on day 2 is offset, so you can't put anyone there
  • The customers stack on top of each other, so you take a random customer when you interact with them
  • The lose screen says to press spacebar, but it's actually coded to go away on Left Click

Thank you! For the seating, I think what it is is that 1. One of the tables on level 2 is just a little bit off-grid, which breaks that whole table, and 2. I thought the customer queuing was working but it broke when I put in the sprites, so all the customers stack on top of each other so you just grab a random customer from the pile with no way to know which one it is.

Thanks for letting me know! What happened was I renamed the game file from the project name, but I accidentally deleted the .exe file extension from the "Vivian's Diner Shift" file so it didn't recognize it as an .exe file. It should hopefully be fixed now!

Apologies for any bugs or crashes! I didn't have much time to play test it ahaha

To be honest, I've done absolutely nothing on it since the game jam ended. I'd still like to come back and work on a full game, but I'm really bad at finding the motivation to do things, and starting this up again is a big hurdle for me.

This was a fun game, the dialogue was nice, crosscrescent's art is great as always, and the differences between the three fairies was neat. The one problem I had was with the soul fairy, where the short attack range made killing enemies without getting hit hard, and so I had a big group of enemies at the end (with some of the 2nd werewolf enemies still alive). This made everything slow down and lag, even after culling the down the group.

It isn't a very long game, only around 30 minutes to beat (even shorter if you skip through the cutscenes), so I thought a save feature wasn't really needed.
