Adding to this you can get the save manually if you go into the cabin by the lake folder, then go to the "game" folder, then go to the "saves" folder. From there you can either move the save folder into the same spot in the new version or just your most recent saves.
It's worth noting that there won't be a "saves" folder in the new version until you've saved in that version or until you make/move the folder there yourself.

My single complaint about this game is the pumpkins, because of how days work they secretly take 8 "turns" to harvest because they always mature at night and you can't do much other than diddle your harem at that time of day.
What I'm getting at is, please make it 8 or 6, or give us the ability to harvest at night. it's just a bit frustrating to realise there is no point growing pumpkins except to save 1 energy per week (compared to cabbages), which it would do anyway if it was 8 instead of 7.
I discovered (thankfully early on) that it doesn't actually matter how the combat ends, the autosave will still happen. Beaten to death by a boar? Autosave. poisoned by angry rats? Autosave. A very angry badger got up close and personal with your HP bar? Autosave...
What I'm getting at is that it really should only autosave after successful combats
Small bug with the Sami bag search. For reasons unknown to me it is impossible for me to not have anything in the bag, no matter what I do she will always find some even if it should be impossible. In the event that I haven't gotten any from anyone else, she will just magically find some from Mysterious.
If you look through the guide some choices have branching "paths" with different corruption levels listed, a lot of scenes/events are hidden in those sorts of places.
A hint for Lina, be sure to settle her debt at the end of the mighty quest (quite a few things are in there).
As for Haily/Sami/Carla on the other hand you just need to jump into their events and complete them in different ways.
This is a bug with Itch, I have no idea what causes it but don't worry, you have the correct version. It will probably fix itself when the next update comes out and it can re-write the version file.
If you can't be bothered to launch it from it's location in your files until then you can either:
A. Try "updating" the game, doesn't always work but it does sometimes
B. Uninstall and re-install the game (MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR SAVES IF YOU DO THIS. They can be found at ...\cabin-by-the-lake\CabinByTheLake-0.20d-pc\game\saves By copying that "saves" folder somewhere you can safely uninstall and re-install the game without losing progress)
Genuinely made me laugh, the writing for what story there is, is on point.
The Gameplay is fun too, wasn't expecting to have different main weapons for each fairy but I guess it does make sense in hindsight since it keeps it feeling fresh between each run.
My one singular issue is probably with the "Soul Fairy", some sort of indicator for what mode you are in would be nice, I found myself dying more than once because I'd accidentally swapped modes and not realised. Still very fun though and I'll probably play it a bit more even though I have played the game to it's completion.
