It's a nice concept, and after a while I really satarted feeling the urge to run to catch that train. It still needs some polish, and I'm sure there is a lot of space for some interesting level design and maybe, as others suggested, some elements which can sort of help the player get to its destination, like real and fake signs, graffiti-styiled arrows which you can't really trust, or something like that.
Even more cool, imagine having to dodge other people rushing from train to train!
That said, cool game, I hope to see this get finished and get more levels :)
(a bug report for future versions: you can stop by pressing the spacebar during gameplay)
Thank you! I'm planning a full release, with premade levels and a generated level mode. I'll be adding obstacles and powerups as well. As for the signs, I thought about them too, not sure yet how I want to implement them, it depends on how the levels will evolve.
Very nice ideal, wild choose of a color palette but cool. The text at the top is a bit hard to read but don’t really, matter I need to catch a train. Some more little hint like little signs would be nice, but idk if it would make it too easy, maybe signs show up after X failures. There is potential for more level design and balance, like funny posters and troll-signs “out of order” and other fun things.
Thank you! I'm refactoring the horrible mess that I coded into something more manageable. I plan to add levels, some obstacles and powerups. Also the music, 2 measures repeating forever are not pleasant. Originally, the game had a minimap, I took it off because it was a little buggy. But then I thought the game is more fun without.
