Very interesting and creative idea! It was a bit confusing sometimes though with the player having the same sprite as the enemies. I think it would be nice if you could know what colors of enemies are coming next or something along those lines so you can strategize more, but I'm not sure if that would work. Also, maybe it would be nice to have a block button to give the combat a bit more depth. I love the idea though and it was pretty fun!

Also, my high score was 23k :3

It was already pointed out by others, so I guess the player really needs to be differenciated xD
The list of incoming colors can definitley be a cool idea (there are some issues like the space it'd take up and also not making it too confusing for new players, but it's worth a try). Also, I though about making a failed grab act as a defense, and actually I have it implemented in code, but after some (yes, very scarse) playtesting, I came to the conclusion that it made the game too easy to play... it needs more work ahah!

Thanks for your feedback!

(Amazing SCORE by the way!)

Ah yeah I see how it would be hard to balance the defense, that's always one of the hardest parts IMO (specially with the limited time to get feedback, which is already hard enough usually haha).

Very cool beat em up. Takes me back to Double Dragon on the gameboy. I think this mechanic can work well. But it can get confusing coz the sprites are all alike. Maybe if the player sprite shape is unique from the enemies. Awesome work.

Yo! Double Dragon for the GB was my main source of inspiration!

Yes, I did think about making a unique sprite for the player, but I didn't have much time (actually, I lost a lot of time making explosion animations which I ended up not having time to add anyways lmao).

I'll definitely consider doing that in future releases after the jam tho. Thanks for playing! :D

Nice work! Apart from the mouse controls this feels authentically Gameboy Color!

I have to say the color mixing mechanic, although cool in theory, is quite difficult to focus on with while fighting for your life!

My high score: 37300

Thank you!
Yeah I noticed the same thing too, I figured only the pros will eventually take the time to strategize on the color combinations xD

Great SCORE by the way!
